A study on the rare radiative decay
We study the decay Bc → D sγ. There are two mechanisms contributing to the process. One proceeds through the short distance b→sγ transition and the other occurs through weak annihilation accompanied by a photon emission. The electromagnetic penguin contribution is estimated by perturbative QCD and found to be 4.68×10−18GeV . In particular, we find the contribution of the weak annihilation is 6....
متن کاملRare Radiative B → Τ + Τ − Γ Decay
The radiative B → τ + τ − γ decay is investigated in the framework of the Standard Model. When only short (short and long together) distance contributions are taken into account, the Branching Ratio is found as 9.54 × 10 −9 (1.52 × 10 −8), for the value of the cut δ = 0.01 imposed on the photon energy.
متن کاملRadiative Decay Engineering
Metallic surfaces can have unusual effects on fluorophores such as increasing or decreasing the rates of radiative decay and the rates of resonance energy transfer (RET). In the present article we describe the effects of metallic silver island films on the emission spectra, lifetimes, and energy transfer for several fluorophores. The fluorophores are not covalently coupled to the silver islands...
متن کاملRadiative Rare Kaon Decays †
We discuss theoretical issues in radiative rare kaon decays. The interest is twofold: to extract useful short-distance information and understand the underlying dynamics. We emphasize channels where either we can understand non-perturbative aspects of QCD or there is a chance to test the Standard Model.
